Artadi Viñas de Gain Tinto 2019
Red Wine - Spain
₱2,940
COD: ARVGRD20190750
This wine can be enjoyed at a young age expressing the youthfulnees of each vintage or it can be rediscovered after having spent a few years in the bottle. The style of this wine is characterised by aromas and flavours of fresh and delicate red fruits. Their sweet and subtle tannins generate velvety textures in the mouth.
Varietal: 100% Tempranillo
Country: Spain, Laguardia
The Artadi estate was created in 1985 by the dynamic visionary winemaker, Juan Carlos Lopez de la Calle. His objective was to seek and nurture the concept that Tempranillo, when cultivated at high altitude, low-cropped, and from old vines, produces extraordinarily rich and profound wines. This, coupled with specific barrel treatments (with minor American oak influences) produces some of Rioja’s best wines.
Artadi is about purity of extracted fruit with almost Burgundian textures. In fact, critics have often compared these wines to the top wines of Chambolle-Musigny and other top appellations of Burgundy. The key to this level of elegance comes from the cold wines of the Pyrenees which blow from the north. This coupled with moderate temperatures tend to make these wines a study in elegance and power, the iron fist in a velvet glove if you will. They are some of the most extraordinary examples of Tempranillo in the world.
Bodegas Emilio Moro - Finca Resalso 2021/2023/2024
Red Wine - Spain

With character, fresh, fun and easy to drink. This is Finca Resalso, which is the expression of the youngest vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro and one of the best-selling reds of its range both nationally and world-wide. A versatile wine that is liked for its liveliness, depth, consistency and because although this vintage gains importance, it manages to convey all the jovial character of the grape from which it comes: the Tinta Fina, native to the Ribera del Duero.
Made from the youngest vineyards of the estate, between 5 and 12 years old, its name refers to a historic vineyard that was planted in 1932, the year in which the founder of the winery, Emilio Moro was born. Finca Resalso 2015 is a red that, while retaining the seriousness that has become the hallmark of all the wines of Bodegas Emilio Moro – is deep and consistent -, has a more informal touch thanks to the freshness given by its varietal base of ripe black fruits like blackberries, currants or blueberries.
All of these qualities are achieved thanks to an extraordinary vintage marked by an early harvest. This year was marked by higher than normal temperatures from April to the second half of July, which caused a good vegetative growth of the vine. Also, occasional rain during the month of July helped to overcome the high summer temperatures. After the summer, the night temperatures in the Ribera del Duero fell significantly, while the diurnal temperatures were 25º, favoring the complete aromatic ripening of the grape.
For these reasons, this new vintage stands out in the nose for its varietal base of ripe black fruits. The aromatic sensation of Finca Resalso 2015 gains in seriousness, showing all its potential and intensity of varietal aromas, presenting maturity but maintaining the freshness and the vividness of a short stay in barrel (four months in American and French oak). The lively red chilli color -showing its youth- the freshness of its acidity is perceived in the mouth, making it a very pleasant red to drink, especially with the spring climate and always remembering to serve it at its correct temperature.

Bodegas Roda - Cirsion 2016
Red Wine - Spain
₱13,200
COD: ROCIRS 2016/0750
In 1995 Bodega Roda discovered that some vines produced grapes whose flavor was very different to the one of the vines around them. They produced a sensation of fullness, of volume, with notes that were more alike to a wine than to a grape. Two years later, they made the first CIRSION, and tested that with a short aging, the wine reached a level of incredible silkiness and a fruit complexity out of the ordinary. Each vintage they walk through the vineyards looking for this curious natural peculiarity, and that’s how, one in a thousand, the CIRSION grapes are picked.
Colour: Great layer, deep, almost impenetrable.
Nose: Intense, complex. Enigmatic: smoke, moist earth. Small black fruits and some red, even flowers.
Palate: Powerful, voluminous, delicate, with very fine tannin, a true caress to the palate. Licorice, chocolate, mint, like an exquisite candy filled with freshness. It is long, almost immense and the freshness of the fruit remains in the aftertaste.
Fermentation:
In French oak vats, with controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
Ageing:
During 8 months in 100% brand new French oak barrels.
The contribution of Graciano is patent but it is perfectly integrated with the Tempranillo. The wine is huge but never excessive. Voluminous but aerial. Wide and at the same time long. A large wine of an extraordinary vintage.
Bodegas Roda - Cirsion 2017
Red Wine - Spain
₱15,500
COD: ROCIRS 2017/0750
With explosive blackberry, herb and mineral aromas and monstrously dense, ripe, crushed cherry fruit and noble tannins, this is one of the great red wines of the world.
One of the greatest last generation Rioja reds, Cirsion was born in 1995, when in Roda wineries they perceived a very different character in some of the oldest vines in the vineyard: more vinous sensations, volume, complexity ... After years of tests and studies , the team led by Agustín Santolaya concluded that the difference lies in the level of polymerization of tannins in the grape itself, which plays a substitute role for aging. That is why the winery decided to produce the fruit of these strains separately, giving rise to this wine. Contrary to what happens with other "superriojans", which abound in concentration and power, Cirsion seeks excellence in elegance and complexity, and in a fineness and aromatic richness that is revealed even when the wine is young.
96 points James Suckling
This is a very overt but amazingly balanced Cirsion that shows pure blackcurrant and dark-cherry compote. Licorice, oyster shell, tar and mulberries follow. Full-bodied with so much blackberry fruit, but a bedrock of sophisticated, steely tannins. The soft fruit just keeps giving. A bold but expertly delivered wine. Drink in 2026.

An attractive wine to young people that begin to live the passion of the wine world.
Colour:
Red background with bright red rim.
Nose:
Very intense and fruity, with an impression of red fruits that protrude from the glass. Cherries, raspberries and red plums stand out. The oak is perfectly integrated, almost imperceptible, despite being in barrel for 12 months. The effect of the oak used in this wine is what was sought, favouring aging without marking it. In addition to the freshness and fruit that are the main axis, these sensations rest on a complex base of aromatic herbs and notes of limestone soil.
Palate:
It is of medium volume, with a great sensation of freshness. The red fruit stands out in the dimensions seen on the nose. The tannin is lively but very fine. It has a lot of persistence and leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness and fruit. It adapts very well to low temperatures and invites you to continue drinking. It will live very well in the bottle, but it is already great to enjoy.

From
Clos Galena is steeped in history and terroir, nestled in Catalonia’s iconic DOQ Priorat—its wines are as precious as the rare minerals beneath its vineyards. Founded in 1999 by visionary families, each bottle echoes their dedication to organic sustainability and profound depth, like the noble roots of each vine clinging to the slate soils—known as licorella—that give these wines their distinctive minerality.
This expression is an homage to the formidable landscape, where heroic viticulture meets innovative craft. The marriage of Garnacha, Cariñena, and Syrah offers a symphony as grand as any Spanish ballad, inviting you to partake in its secrets with every sip.
